Established in 1997, we are an award-winning global manufacturer of sheet metal work solutions.
Metalfacture was established in 1997 by James Cooper, who set the business up as a specialist manufacturer of sheet metal goods, with James still determining strategy today around manufacturing capacity, overseas dealer appointments, and raw material supply. Co-founder Ben Jones-Fenleigh oversees sales, operations, and manufacturing, running the marketing campaigns that have brought in retailers, drink manufacturers, and dealers, along with pricing and customer management.
The business is based near Leicester, in Wigston, and everything it makes is manufactured in-house by its own teams rather than outsourced, a point the company treats as central to keeping standards consistent. That work happens out of a 95,000 sq ft factory running 24 hours a day, employing more than 80 people.
Metalfacture has built its reputation specifically around permanent, brand-driven point-of-purchase display solutions, working across sectors including drinks manufacturing, retail merchandising, recycling, the petrol forecourt, and the news sector. The company now operates as part of a wider group that includes vertical vendors, focused on long-lasting, sustainable merchandising solutions, the Recycling Group, working to reduce carbon footprints across the recycling journey, and the ATL Group, supplying display solutions for forecourts and newsagents.
Sustainability sits at the center of how the company frames its work, and it’s picked up industry awards along the way for its sheet metal manufacturing. Nearly three decades after Cooper founded the business, Metalfacture still describes itself as a forward-thinking group of companies, built on skilled workmanship and customer service, providing solutions for world-leading brands across its various divisions.
