Dr. Steven Reisman is a board-qualified cardiologist in the fields of non-invasive cardiology, cardiovascular diagnostics, and preventive heart care. He is the founder and director of New York Cardiac Diagnostic Center, an established and long-standing private practice started in 1987 that specializes in cardiology. His clinics provide the facilities for comprehensive cardiac testing, heart screening, and a preventive examination clinic.
Dr. Reisman has developed his practice based on highly developed diagnostic cardiology and provides a range of services, including stress testing, echocardiography, Holter monitoring, and coronary risk assessment. He has worked on early prevention of heart disease, especially high-risk coronary artery disease, and valvular disease. He has more than 30 years of clinical practice experience in treating patients with conditions such as hypertension, arrhythmia, chest pain, and metabolic risk factors, with a focus on proper diagnosis and preventive medical care.
He was an assistant professor of medicine at both the University of California, Irvine, and at the State University of New York (SUNY). He was also director of nuclear cardiology at Long Island College Hospital and a research scientist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Also, he has supervised fellows and cardiology trainees and made contributions to medical education and training in clinical skills.
Dr. Reisman is a charter member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and has served as an investigator with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in the development of alternative forms of stress testing in patients.
Currently, he is an active media and citizen educator, appearing in outlets like CNN, Fox News, The Washington Post, and Forbes, where he speaks on topics of heart health, prevention, and the new practices in cardiology.
