Amazon Filters

Industrial Process Filtration, Engineered to Your System

Be the first to review

Amazon Filters was founded in 1985 by Mike Pizzey, an engineer with more than 20 years of filtration experience at the time, who set out to solve some of the bigger problems process industries were running into with filtration. The company is based in Camberley, Surrey, and the Pizzey family has stayed close to the business ever since Mike’s son, Neil, now runs it as managing director.

Two long-serving colleagues shaped a lot of what the company became. Karl has been there from the very start, and Jeff joined in 1987, going on to build out a global sales infrastructure that mixes in-house staff with specialist distributors around the world. Simon came over from Pall in 1998, adding more depth to the technical side.

International expansion picked up in 2008, when Amazon Filters bought the business activities of German firm L & Z Verfahrenstechnik GmbH, forming Amazon Filters GmbH and giving the company a real foothold across Europe. Manufacturing now runs out of both the UK and Poland, which helps keep delivery times down for customers.

The product range covers membrane and depth filter cartridges and capsules, stainless steel filters, filter bags, carbon filters, pleated filters, and filter housings for liquids and gases, plus bespoke engineered projects for clients with more specific requirements. Industries served include food and beverage, chemical, and pharmaceutical, among others in safety-critical and highly regulated settings. The company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification, and its products carry ATEX approval.

Forty years on, Amazon Filters positions itself as one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of liquid and gas filtration equipment, still running on the same basic idea Mike Pizzey started with: solving filtration problems other suppliers couldn’t.
