Thermosense

Temperature and Process Measurement

Be the first to review

Thermosense was founded in 2007 and operates from Lancashire, where it manufactures and supplies temperature and process measurement products, including thermocouples, RTD sensors, cable, connectors, fittings, and instrumentation. The company’s approach from the start was built around customer service, competitive pricing, good quality products, and quick delivery, and it’s grown into one of the largest stockists of thermocouple cable in the UK, with a range spanning single and multi-pair cable from two up to twenty-four pairs.

What sets Thermosense apart is the depth of its catalogue combined with UK-based manufacturing. Stocked and bespoke sensors are made at the company’s own Lancashire site, and thousands of products are kept ready for immediate dispatch, which keeps lead times short even on custom orders. Beyond sensors and cable, the range extends into calibration services and equipment, data loggers, chart recorders, instrumentation and control products, pressure gauges and transmitters, and heaters, including cartridge, band, and silicone rubber mat heaters. The company also sells its own branded Pressure Direct range, built for large-volume OEM applications that need a reliable, low-cost solution.

Thermosense serves a mix of demanding industries, including aerospace (with AMS2570F accreditation), oil and gas, incineration, plastics, heat treatment, pharmaceutical and autoclave applications, and automotive. Quality control is backed up with proper accreditation too: the company’s internal quality system holds ISO 9001:2015 certification, and its laboratory has been UKAS accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for temperature since September 2021, giving customers independently verified confidence in the calibration and testing work. Thermosense carries out.

Nearly two decades after starting out in 2007, the company still positions itself around the same core promise: well-made measurement products, backed by genuine technical expertise and fast turnaround, for customers who can’t afford to get temperature and pressure readings wrong.
